Making a real impact and having a tangible result of ones work. There is nothing better than getting that candidate call when you have been part of finding someone their dream position. As a manager I get my satisfaction from training and developing my team so as to facilitate them achieving their own goals.
Claim to fame?
From ages 16-18 I played bass (and occasionally piano) for a band I founded with my best mates. We never made it big, but we did get on the radio and played in front of 200+ people at some events. If you dig deep, the songs should still be up in the YouTube ether.
What’s your mantra in life?
It is not the things in our life that upset us, it is our reaction to them.
‘Death row dish’?
Starter of chicken wings or Sushi. Main would a surf & turf, sirloin, lobster, roasted potato and veg on the side – always medium rare. Dessert is Nutella on freshly toasted sourdough.
What do you do outside of work?
I try to engage in things that satisfy a couple of core areas in my life. For instance, I am currently training for a marathon, running 3 times a week, with a long run on Sunday (20k +). I love to read and try to do so every day. Playing the piano is a vital part of ‘escaping’ when needed. Having had the privilege to travel a lot I love to experience new food places and experiment with their cuisine.
